Green, tasty, eco-friendly – Norwegian-Bulgarian cooperation

.

The Norwegian-Bulgarian Business Group (NBBG) organizes the first Bulgarian participation at the largest food and beverage exhibition in Norway – UMAMI ARENA. NBBG is arranging a Bulgarian stand and will bring eight selected Bulgarian companies producing high quality organic and eco goods such as honey, wine, cheese, meat products, jams as well as biodegradable packaging products, and companies offering “green” services or solutions in the food industry. The participation of Bulgarian companies is part of the project “Green, tasty, eco-friendly – Norwegian-Bulgarian cooperation” and is supported through the “Business Development, Innovation and SMEs, Bulgaria” programme under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 .

During the UMAMI ARENA, additional events will be organized for the Bulgarian companies, such as workshop on green topics with Norwegian speakers, B2B meetings with potential Norwegian partners, etc.

The workshop will be opened by the Bulgarian Ambassador to Norway, H.E. Mrs. Vera Shatilova. Another special guest of honor will be Mrs. Venceslava Yanchovska – Consul General of Norway to Bulgarian and Manager Innovation Norway Sofia office.

“For us, organizing a Bulgarian stand among the largest representatives of the food industry in Norway is an opportunity to show the capacity of the Bulgarian economy, focused on sustainable and “green” production models, and to present native companies that are committed to organic and eco production. Last but not least, participation in this exhibition provides an opportunity to build bilateral trade relations and discover new market niches that would otherwise be very difficult to identify.” commented Ms. Miriana Alexandrova, Executive Director of NBBG.

UMAMI Arena (umamiarena.no) is a traditional exhibition in Norway that brings together visionaries in the field of food and related industries and becomes a platform for new partnerships and long-term business contacts.

Supported by the Norway Grants 2014-2021, in the frame of the Programme “Business Development, Innovation and SMEs, Bulgaria”
