Official launch of the Norwegian-Bulgarian Chamber in Norway

The Norwegian-Bulgarian Chamber in Norway was officially launched on 27th of May 2021 at a hybrid event organized in cooperation with InvestBulgaria Agency and under the patronage of the Bulgarian Embassy in Norway and the Royal Norwegian Embassy to Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.
The Chamber in Norway is established as a mirror organization of the Norwegian-Bulgarian Business Group in Bulgaria with one major goal – to contribute to stronger economic ties between both countries and facilitate more successful partnerships.
It was opened by the Bulgarian Ambassador to Norway – H.E. Vera Shatilova and the Norwegian Ambassador to Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova – H.E. Siri Barry. Both Ambassadors expressed their support to the new organization, expressed their willingness to work towards strengthening the bilateral economic relations and pointed out new potential areas for cooperation between businesses.
Among the keynote speakers were the Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency, Mr. Stamen Yanev, Mr. Magnar Ødelin, Director EEA and Norway Grants Innovation Norway, Mr. Plamen Nenov, Associate Professor BI Norwegian Business School, representatives of large Norwegian corporations and Bulgarian companies working with Norway.
Our Charman, Mr. Anders Stølan presented the new potential areas of cooperation between Norwegian and Bulgarian companies and the services offered by the Norwegian-Bulgarian Chamber aiming to assist the businesses in their cooperation.
Main topics of the event were:
• Growth and development in the shadow of COVID: macroeconomic challenges and opportunities for advanced and emerging economies
• New potential areas for cooperation between Norway and Bulgaria. How do businesses change due to Covid and successful practices in the post-pandemic time
• New opportunities for bilateral partnerships under the Norway Grants
